Membership and Leadership Opportunities
Added: August 6, 2010
Consider, pray for and talk to others about the following leadership opportunities that are for Christian Business Ministries Canada (CBMC).
1. Field Directors: An individual for a specific territory who regularly contacts group leaders for support and to identify resources needed to improve their group experience. Also Field Directors would oversee the introduction of prospects to existing groups and the formation of new groups. This position also communicates with other Field Directors and National Administration to assist in developing a CBMC community “communication” that updates all members on what's going on inside CBMC. This volunteer position would require up to seven days per month but could have a compensation component as determined by members in the territory.
2. Board of Directors: Directors are collectively responsible for the organization’s vision and to oversee the overall operation. This an opportunity to be a part of the leadership in following the Lord's plan for business and professional leaders across Canada. The Board of Directors usually have two face to face meeting each year and additional conference calls. Directors usually cover costs to attend meetings. The time commitment is approximately 1-2 days per month.
3. Group Leaders: Group Leaders have the primary responsibility for the intentionality and the direction of the group. This position would require one or two days a month and would involve some administrative and coordination functions. While there will be some leadership skills training and coaching available for group leaders, the position largely places the responsibility to lead on the individual.
4. Group Members: This by far is the most responsible role within the organization where members learn be an example that influences people in the marketplace. Members are transformed in their accountability relationships of their groups resulting in living balanced lives, pressing into their walk with God daily and understanding God’s role for them. God works through this transformed member to impact their loved ones around them and the people in their sphere of influence in a unique way. This volunteer position takes a lifetime to walk out but is one that will bear much reward.
5. General Manager/National Executive: A “hands-on” leader able to lead the organization and manage the administrative staff who serves the membership in the day to day operations. This position would most likely be a voluntary position unless donations are sufficient to cover traditional compensation. The person to lead this organization needs to have a heart for and be called to the vision and mission of the organization.
