We kick off the season Wednesday October 14th featuring Mr. Reg Petersen, Chairman & CEO of The Southbridge Group.
Reg Peterson is well known especially throughout Cambridge as founder of Versa-Care Nursing Homes having successfully built and managed his company over 30 years (from 1 nursing home to 46 nursing homes/retirement homes throughout Canada with over 5,000 employees), before selling it in 1997. In 1980 Reg along with his wife Carol, had the vision to change the world locally and abroad by founding the Bridgeway Foundation in their commitment to supporting charitable projects that reflected their priorities as visionary entrepreneurs rooted in the compassion rising from their Christian faith. Bridgeway was endowed with the resources required to pursue this dream. In 1997 Reg founded the Southbridge Group of Companies, a management holding company that currently owns six industrial corporations located in Canada and the United States. Southbridge is a leading investment and management organization that seeks to align with viable and profitable businesses through investment where synergies evolve through professional integrity, corporate expertise and solid management. In 2004 Reg went on to create The Legacy Foundation Of Canada for the purpose as expressed in his own words, “It was in the early 1980’s and I had all of the financial security I needed to take care of my needs and the needs of my family well into the future. Yet I was passionate about growing businesses to achieve profitability.
